Residential UI

Profound Technologies is a specialist in developing custom systems to control a smart house. They have done so many setup systems for residents' houses, and the UI of the controller is one of their main products to sell in their services.

Challenging: It's a controlling system that is implemented in partner devices, therefore we don't have complete control over the system. We were limited in some of the technical functions. For example, if we have UI to control the Spotify app, the devices only allow users to use some simple features, and it will open the implemented Spotify app for in-depth control. 

My role in this project is UI designer under the instruction of the Creative Director, who has worked in this industry for over 10 years. He deeply understands the pain points as well as the limitations of the system.
